Finally, the long-waited OWHC-AP Youth Forum is back for you, this time with a new theme!

1. Theme: Utilizing Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage for the Sustainable Development of World Heritage Cities

2. Eligibility for Participation:

The Youth Forum is for undergraduate and graduate students (limited to the ones in a Master’s Program only). You can participate as an individual or a team (of up to 3 people).

l  If you have a diploma (not a degree) in a Master’s program, no more than one year should have passed since you finished your Master’s program.

l  If you are in a joint Masters’ and a PhD program, no more than 2 (two) years should have passed since you started your program.

3. Application Deadlines: Send your application via email to the OWHC Asia-Pacific(OWHC-AP) Regional Secretariat at owhc-ap@korea.kr (Please note that all times indicated are in Korean Standard Time)

l  Deadline for submitting application and Thesis Proposal: April 9th, 2023: 23:55

l  Deadline for thesis submission (only applied to those individually notified by the OWHC): July 2^th, 2023, 23:55

4. Timeline of Events

l  Please submit your application and thesis proposal between April 3rd – April 9th, 2023, 23:55

l  Experts’ Consultation and Feedback is scheduled to take place during April and May 2023.

l  Thesis Submission:  June 26^th, 2023 – July 2^th, 2023, 23:55

n  The OWHC-AP will provide KOR-ENG translations for your thesis on your request.

l  Presentation Slides Submission: scheduled to be in August, 2023

l  Final Round: September 14^th, 2023, Gyeongju, Republic of Korea

n  Presentation at the 4th OWHC-AP Regional Conference:

n  Awards Ceremony

!!Please note the following:

(a)    The finalists will be provided with the accommodation and transportation.

(b)    The scheduled above are subject to change.

◈ Prizes

* One thesis can win only one prize and its associated benefits. For a team project, the prize money will be wired to the team leader’s bank account. The Award will have the team’s name on it.

* For international participants outside of Republic of Korea, the prize money will be converted to the United States Dollars before it is wired to the recipient’s bank account.

※ A thesis cannot be submitted, or will be deemed invalid, if:

                  - it has already won a prize or award in other contest(s);

                  - it has already been presented in other seminar(s);

                  - it has already been published in other publications(s); or,

                  - it is found out to have committed plagiarism.
